Learning Waves Skillnet AGM 2017.
Learning Waves Skillnet will be hosting their annual AGM this April 6th at The Gibson Hotel, Dublin, from 11am to 1pm. Firstly the AGM will take place between 11am and 11:30am where we will reflect on 2016 and with positivity and prosperity look forward to all that 2017 has to offer.
Project Manager Teresa Hanratty and Chairperson Nessa McGann are happy to announce that three key speakers will be joining us on the day. Jackie Neill of BBC Belfast will be the first to join us from 11:30am-11:40am where she will talk about the proud new partnership between Learning Waves and BBC Belfast. Jackie’s current post is as Station Manager in BBC Radio Ulster and Learning Waves are delighted to have such a reputable figure in the industry speaking at the event.
Secondly, Sean Murtagh, Chairperson of the All Ireland Radio Awards will be taking to the stage between 11:40am and 11:50am. Sean is a highly experienced senior manager working predominately in the area of music, film copyright and intellectual property. He has been heavily involved in the All Ireland Radio Awards, presenting at them and frequently attending and presenting at many international meetings so we are looking forward to hearing from Sean on the day.
Lastly, we are delighted to announce John Teeling of the well-known Great Northern Distillery and one of Ireland’s leading businessmen will be speaking at the event at 12pm. Described by many as a ‘serial entrepreneur’, John has had many a business venture, dipping his hand in the oil, gas and resource sectors for over 30 years now. John bestowed his knowledge upon many a student during his years of lecturing in UCD and we are more than excited to hear what wisdom he has to share with us on April 6th in the Gibson Hotel.
