Radio Kerry ‘s Celebrate4Life, fundraising initiative on behalf of four Kerry charities - Kerry Hospice Foundation, Comfort for Chemo, Recovery Haven and the Kerry Cancer Support Group, has raised €133,500.
The charities involved say they are hugely grateful and extremely humbled by the generosity shown to them throughout the appeal. They are also delighted with the coverage they received from Radio Kerry across the two weeks of the Celebrate4Life fundraising campaign which was hugely beneficial in helping to promote the services that they offer.
Speaking about the Celebrate4Life total Radio Kerry CEO Tim O’Keeffe said, “Radio Kerry started out with a proposal to raise some much needed funds for 4 local charities and this was supported by our Board with a contribution of €10,000. The result has both humbled and delighted me. The amount of money raised reflects the appreciation of the work done by these charities and the ability of Radio Kerry to assist in the supporting relevant causes due to its large and diverse listenership in Kerry and beyond. One hundred and thirty three thousand thank yous to everyone involved”
Radio Kerry is carrying the full administration, marketing and personnel costs associated with Celebrate4Life. The charities will receive 100% of the funds raised after online or SMS fees.
