WLR FM welcomes state of the art Outside Broadcast Unit.

WLR FM welcomed its brand new, state of the art Outside Broadcast Unit in 2020. Due to Covid19, the station was not in a position to show it off at events around the city and county since its arrival in May last year.  However the team at WLR FM are  finally starting to get out and about again! Along with their fleet of fully electric e-Golfs, the WLR Outside Broadcast Unit is sponsored by Cork Airport.   It’s not just an Outside Broadcast Unit though, it’s a fully-fledged recording studio and facilitates top quality podcast recording too. The studio also has enough room for a band to set up – ideal for future festivals around the city and county!.
