Beat launches TY Media Week in association with Learning Waves.
Beat 102-103 has today launched its TY Media Week for 2022. The TY Media Week run in association with Learning Waves and funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland through the Sound and Vision Funding offers TEN lucky TY students the opportunity to get work experience in the youth regional radio station. How does this sound to you? – Pretty good we think!!
There are many students looking for a placement at the radio station, and the station is offering TEN Transition Year students a chance to take part in Beat’s T.Y. Media week in October this year!
During the week-long program students will gain lots of technical skills along with creating content that’ll be shared across Beat’s platforms – on air and online! In addition to this students will get to meet all the people who work in Beat and will have the opportunity to view radio from the 'inside out'. In addition to this students will be given access to the Learning Waves Learning Hub where they can learn more about the radio landscape in Ireland. A key focus of the week will be encouraging students to understand where content comes from, how it is created and how it can be verified. In addition to all of this, students will have great fun will get the opportunity to meet other TY students from across the South East.
Deadline for applications is 5pm Wednesday September 14th.
