Newstalk Presenters set Guinness World Record.

Andrea Gilligan, Presenter of Newstalk's Lunchtime Live and Kieran Cuddihy, Presenter of The Hard Shoulder have set a Guinness World Record this week. The record they set  was  the ‘Fastest time to dress a person as a Christmas tree’.  Guinness World Records had set a minimum time of 1 minute and 30 seconds to make Kieran look like a legitimate Christmas tree. 

There was tension in the attempt, as baubles were dropped and tinsel came loose - but they didn't let it phase them.  Andrea managed  to dress Kieran up as a Christmas tree in in one minute and nine seconds - a new Guinness World Record has been set!

They were joined by Guinness World Records Adjudicator, David Wilson,  who said it made them "officially amazing". He also said "There are no easy records, this is no mean feat".  Andrea Gilligan said "it was so much fun, that I can't wait to attempt a new one next year!". Kieran Cuddihy claimed: "this is the culmination of a lifetimes work. I know that my friends, family, former teachers and mentors will be brimming with pride when they hear that I managed to stand still with my arms extended for 69 seconds. The truth is, I couldn’t have done it without any of them”
