Ciara O'Connor is re-elected as Chairperson for 2014-2015.

Ciara O'Connor, CEO of East Coast FM was re-elected as Chairperson of Learning Waves Skillnet at the organisations board meeting in May 2014.  Ciara previuously held the position from 2010 to 2012 and was Chairperson when Learning Waves Skillnet ran its first conference, at which Denis O'Brien was the key note speaker. 

Although Ciara already holds a very busy position as CEO of East Coast FM,  she is 'delighted to have been reappointed as the Chairperson of Learning Waves'. Speaking after her election, Ciara said of Learning Waves Skillnet, 'It's no secret that I am extremely passionate about what we do and what we stand for. Not only have we provided a wealth of relevant training to the radio industry, we have created a vast networking arena whereby people doing similar jobs in different markets come together to share ideas, discuss challenges and work together to create a better industry for all.  

I have been involved one way or another since the very beginning of Learning Waves and am very proud of all that we have achieved in the last 10 years. From our humble beginnings where we were delivering the training ourselves to where we are now, availing of the expertise of some of the best trainers in the business, we've come a long way. Our aim is to continue the diversity of training we deliver and to remain relevant to the industry we serve. In the ever changing environment we work in it is vital that we keep our finger on the pulse of new technologies and I look forward to working with Teresa, the board of Learning Waves and the radio stations to ensure we meet the needs of our members at all times'.
