Tony Scott.
Roscommon native, Tony Scott has over 25 years’ experience as a radio presenter, voice over artist, programmer, and trainer. Tony has worked in radio since the late 90’s having started with Midlands 103 and moving to the Production Manager role in 2004. In 2005, Tony relocated to South East Radio in Wexford where he took on the role of Breakfast Show presenter and Production Manager. In 2007, he became Deputy Programme Director and was nominated for Best Breakfast show at the PPI Awards. In 2010, Tony moved to afternoons while also taking on the new role of Head of Music and managing the Commercial Production Dept. The afternoons went on to perform very well survey after survey. In 2019, after 14 years with South East Radio, Tony moved to the UK to take up a new challenge with RCS, initially working on the Aquira Traffic Support team, after a year he moved into the Support team and then in 2021 became Project Coordinator for Europe, The Middle East and North Africa while still working in the Software Support team for UK/Ireland.
In 2023, Tony relocated back to Ireland which was probably good timing as the list of RCS’ Irish clients grew and it was beneficial to have Tony in the country to coordinate with installations and training. Since moving back Tony has completed training in South East Radio, Shannonside Northern Sound, Highland Radio, Galway Bay FM, Beat, WLR, Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio and Radio Nova. He has also started doing freelance radio cover again and has presented various shows on Galway Bay FM and on Midlands 103 where his career began.
Tony is an alumnus of Ballyfermot College of Further Education, completing a Higher National Diploma in Media Production in 2002. Tony is also GSelector and Aquira Certified from the RCS Training Academy.
